• Shane Everett McMillian, 20, of 175 Belton Road, was arrested Wednesday on outstanding warrants for charges of breaking and entering, injury to real property and trespassing. The listed complainants are Tommy Haskell McMillian of South View Street and Harry Thompson Jr., whose address was not given, but details concerning the alleged violations were not provided. The younger McMillian was confined in the Surry County Jail under a $6,500 secured bond and is to appear in District Court on May 18.
• A break-in and larceny involving a motor vehicle occurred Wednesday at Rainbow Child Care Center on Piedmont Triad West Drive. • Amanda Christine Maxwell, a Hay Street resident, reported on April 10 that the 42-inch metal deck of a Husqvarna lawn mower was stolen from the sidewalk at her residence.
